Adi the talker

A few of you have commented on how much Adi is talking, so I thought I would take a minute and brag, as well as share some funny things she has said. I suppose here is as good as place as any to document it. Sort of like an online journal as some of you have put it before.
She is really advanced! She talks so much, we wonder when she is ever going to be quiet again sometimes! Not that this should surprise any of you who know Caleb and myself. We were bound to get a social butterfly. She is 22 months old on September 20th. She talks in several word phrases saying things like "momma, shut the door" or "daddy, time for dinner". She articulates very well too. Most everything is pretty easy to understand. She says her own prayers every night (with prompting of course) and loves to sing. She sings "Twinkle, Twinkle" and "The wheels on the bus" and "monkey's jumping on the bed" and many more. It is her favorite thing to have momma and daddy both sing to her at night. She can also count to 10. For a while now she has been going through a phase where she has been skipping number's 5, and 10. Afterwards she will ask when she is done "5 and 10 go?" So we will help her the next time prompting on 5 and 10. It has turned into a bit of a game finding these numbers, but just today she did 1-10 all by herself again.Adi loves to "go shopping, more shoes" or ask daddy for more money to put in her bank. Wonder where she got all of that from? Oh, and just the other day she took a fake credit card that had come in the mail, and walked up to the TV, and ran it down the side saying "swipe!" Good training for her :) She often surprises us with funny, funny things that she says and does. Lately she has been demanding "look at me" when she wants our attention. She says it in a very soft, seductive voice that makes us laugh. Another funny thing she just started is when we are in the car she will suddenly out of nowhere scream at the top of her lungs, and hurry and say "sorry" before we can even respond. That's pretty funny too. Just tonight as we were eating dinner I was telling her she had to eat 2 more bites before she could finish. She did, but then became distracted and kept eating a little. So when she struggled to get down again, I tried my luck and said "one more bite and then your done babes". She very seriously looked at me and said "no" so I said "one more bite please" to which she responded "no, 2 more bites." Daddy and I both agreed that was a deal! hahahah! Also tonight we were saying prayers and Adi was in the process of asking for blessings. Sometimes we guide her in what to say, other times she just decides herself what to be thankful for, and what to bless. Sometimes its certain family, or princess jammies, or babies etc. Tonight she was blessing what she wanted, and out of nowhere decided to "bless poopie". Daddy and I (as reverent as we tried to remain) couldn't help it and burst out laughing. What a personality she has.
Anyway, if you made it through all of that reading, thanks. I like to brag about my little babes. She is so sweet, and really brightens up our days...in fact, I think she brightens up everybody she meets. A talent I suppose. So I hope you enjoyed the little glimpse of who she is, and why we love her so much! Love you Adi!

YNP fun

So the other day Caleb and I decided to make a trip to Yellowstone. It was just a quick day trip, but we saw and did a lot. Adi really enjoyed her time. She just loves animals and nature. She was so funny the whole time saying "hello buffalo" or "love you chip monk". Said just like that too. Funny. As we drove she was sure to spot something new at all times. Mostly it was "momma! A geyser!" She thought they were great, especially good "old faithful". Enjoy some pics.
This is the first Elk we saw. Adi was thrilled, and of course gave her 5 star cheesiest smile ever!
Caleb and Adi in front of some water falls. I don't like heights or anything dangerous like that, but her and her dad have no fear when it comes to that. She would walk right out to the edge and throw rocks in nearly giving her mother a heart attack!
Some deer on the side of the road. A ranger was there to make sure you didn't get to close because they were literally right there. He was trying to enforce a 25 yd. radius.
This is a funny story. This buffalo was at a picnic center, and wasn't moving, and all of the other people around were just eating like nothing out of the ordinary was going on. So Caleb and I pulled right up to it thinking it was real, and then after watching it, we decided it was fake. So we got out to take Adi over to it, and lo and behold it starts moving! Look how close we were. It was unreal. Don't ask me why we thought it was fake...who knows. It was just eerie how calm the thing was!
Same calm buffalo.
Adi with Daddy at the geysers. She thought the geysers were cool, and enjoyed spotting them everywhere. Now that we've been home everytime we drive by a burning field or something she yells "momma, a geyser!"
Good Old Faithful. Still as cool as you remember it!
She was fasinated by the carved animals in West Yellowstone, and loved to hug and ride them.
On the moose saying "Moooook" because that's what a moose says don't you know?
Riding the bear....a little confused look as to why she's not going anywhere?

I've been "Sweetbottom" tagged!!

(By Caleb)
I realize the title might seem a little bold, but if you have seen 13 Going on 30, then you will understand... maybe.

1. What is her name? - Ashley Wall, formerly Witters

2.Who eats more? - Depends on the day and the meal. I can put it down if necessary.

3. Who said, "I love you" first? - Hmm... I remember it being her, but she claims it was me. I still remember it being her though.

4. Who is taller? - Me. Most definitely. No contest.

5. Who is smarter? - Me. Most definitely. No contest...  Just kidding. Ashley has me beat in quite a few areas.

6. Who is more sensitive? - Sensitive? If I understand the work correctly, then I can be when the occasion calls for it... but otherwise very little phases me. So, that would be Ash.

7. Who does the laundry? - Ashley, unless I need work clothes done a.s.a.p. Then I will round them all up, regardless of color, and through them all in with a sprinkle of something or other that I find on top of the dryer.

8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? - I think that would be me. But from which side are we looking?

9. Who pays the bills? - I sit down a few times a month and go over which ones didn’t make me so mad that I refuse to pay them.

10. Who cooks more? - Okay, you lost me on that one. Let me go ask Ash what this is referring to.

11. Who is more stubborn? - Ashley. Most definitely. No contest. I wish I were, but she always takes the stubbornness seven steps further.

12. Who is the first to admit they are wrong? - What a dumb question. Is there ever a different response to this? As though Man has a choice...

13. Who has more siblings? - That would be me.

14. Who wears the pants in the relationship? - I would like to think that I do. And typically I try to, but who knows... possibly I am being manipulated into believing that I do, much like 100% of men out there.

15. What do you like to do together? - Nunya... as in “nunya business”, and naked movie nights. Tuesdays. (Don’t bother us Tuesday evenings, unless you are not bothered by that sort of thing).

16. Who eats more sweets? - I prefer to call them “flavorful carbs” (whatever carbs are... I just hear that word a lot when people talk about food). Either way, I think it is me. “Sweets” as you call them, are typically what my lunches and breakfasts consist of. Don’t judge me – we have all done it.

17. Guilty Pleasures? - What an interesting question... sounds seductive. I don’t know if I know how to respond. But Ash really likes shoes, and Adi has taken her unhealthy infatuation and multiplied it by 100

18. How did you meet? - Ash was a hottie and worked in the lingerie department at Dillards. Need I say more? (Again, don’t judge me! I am only human!)

19. Who asked whom out first? - Are we referring to spoken words or the phrases spoken by the eyes. Cuz if we are talking body language, etc, it would definitely have been Ash. I just took the obvious hints and vocalized the questions.

20. Who kissed whom first? - I proudly admit that it was me! Oh ya!

21. Who proposed? - Like Ash said, it was me. But unlike what she said, I did not have “bulging eyes and sweaty hands”. I had confident handsome eyes and strong muscles.

22. Her best features and qualities? - She has captivating eyes that contain an excited playfulness to them that are irresistible. She also has a contagious laugh and ... I should not go on out of propriety. And her qualities are numerous. I am not just saying that either. I somehow managed to find, and keep, the perfect woman. She is positive, hard working, funny, exciting, understanding, supportive, patient, intelligent, and the best mother to Adi. I really got lucky.

Boise Time

Well I haven't actually posted on anything that's been going on this last little bit, so I thought I would play catch up, because there has actually been A LOT going on. So we will start here...
Labor Day weekend my entire side of the family met up in Boise to celebrate Shana and Tom's new addition to the family, Jed. Everyone got to be there except Caleb. It was a downer not having him there, but we all still really enjoyed our time together as a family. Here are some pics from our time there.
Here is Jed's first bath being submerged in the water. Looks happy huh? Actually he was!
The stud all decked out in BSU Bronco attire! Go Bronco's!
Reese and Mitchel taking a ride in the wagon. All of the cousins really love each other. Pretty cute.
This is my Brother Cory's family all taking a turn loving on the baby. Sweet picture huh?
Here is me and my mom, and Jed the big man himself with his sister Kira.
Here are all of the cute cousins together. Notice they all have green stamps in the middle of their foreheads?...That's thanks to big cousin Reese!
Snooze time with Uncle Cory!
My Brother Craig and his wife Chelsey meeting Jed for the first time.
Me and Adi holding Jed. She is a big fan of "baby Jed" wanting to hold him and kiss him and feed him and give him his paci etc. She'll be a great big Sister.
Here is Adi with Cousins Reese and Kira having a popsicle on Grandma's porch.
Aunt Gayle with Baby Jed, she looks like a natural!
Uncle Charlie with Jed. He hogged him more than anyone else! (hehe, just teasing Charlie)
While we were there Boise had their first game against ISU. We all went to it and had an awesome time! Boise of course crushed them. It was so fun to be back there and screaming my guts out for the team I love! GO BSU!
Adi with her "Reesey". She loves him to death!
Kristen and Mitchel looking as cute as EVER!!!
My big bro and me comparing stomachs! He's always been good at poking it out, I guess I'm better though!

Thanks for the fun weekend everyone! I love you all. And because we all missed Caleb so much, I thought I better include him somewhere, so I'll put up this picture of him after he got home from work one day and he had forgotten his helmet. Check out the hair standing straight up! HAHA!
