Our Vacation

Here are some pics of our vacation. It was AMAZING! We seriously had such a great time, and we were able to do so much. Snorkeling, Parasailing, touring the ancient ruins of one of the 7 wonders of the world Chichen Itza, watching a bunch of different shows including a fire show, a mayan show, a Michael Jackson show etc. The weather was fantastic, the beach was white and soft, and the service was beyond anything we've ever had. Everyone was so eager to help you, and bring us drink after drink. They just came to you while you were sunbathing or swimming, or walking the beach, it was great. The food was also great, so much variety, and so much of it! So much for working so hard to look good in that bikini!!! And the best part of it all, it was all free! I'm really proud of Caleb for getting this trip. There were 100's of people from his company there, but all of them were either customers or higher up in the company. Caleb was 1 of only 2 store managers to win this trip in the WHOLE company! Way to go Caleb. Anyway, I could talk and talk about how great it was, but I just like looking at pictures more anyway, so here is a little bit of our trip for you. Sorry, the pics kind of posted backward from the order we had them, but that's ok.
Standing on the beach. It was PERFECT!

I just got done swimming in a Cenote, or a sinkhole. It was crazy cool. 50 meters deep, and totally fresh.

Walking down the 91 steps into the earth to reach the sink-hole.

A picture from up-top of how deep the sink hole is before the water even starts!

Here we are in front of the Pyramid of Kukulkan at Chichen Itza. It feels sureal to look at this and think we were really there!!! This was our favorite part of the trip. We did this on our Anniversary. It was so cool to see the amount of knowledge they had, their cultural history, and the astronomical science they used in everything! Wow, if you ever get the chance, go there, or read up on it. AMAZING! (this is the completely restored side.)

Here is the side of the pyramid that has been restored as best as it can be. Pieces of stone were missing when this was discovered probably due to people in the neighboring Mayan communities taking stones to build their own homes etc.

The Observatory. This is cool, because this is where they observed(obviously) astronomy to be able to create the mathematical and astronomical wonder...the pyramid! Seriously, it's crazy how they built that thing. All in sync with their mayan calendar...I won't go into it, but really, I would suggest reading up on it. It is completely fascinating.

This is a picture of the ball court. The biggest ball court ever to be discovered among any ancient mayan ruins. It was interesting to find out how the ball game was played, and that actually it was played as a fertility worship. Also interestingly enough, the captain of the team to win was decapitated as a sacrifice, and they considered this a great honor! (I wouldn't have been a very good athlete in those days I'm afraid!)

Another picture of the Temple. Isn't it sweet?!

Here is a bubble bath in the jacuzzi gone wild. We didn't realize just how many bubbles we'd put in until we turned on the jets and the bubbles kept going up and up and up! This is Caleb sitting flat on the bottom of the tub. That gives you an idea of how full it really was!

Here is us shopping in front of Coco Bongo, a great club in Cancun famous for it's impersonations.

A guy that was a fabulously talented painter. We had him paint pictures for both of our girls. Well worth it!

Look at that amazing blue water!

Here we are with some Mayan warriors after the mayan show. They were actually the actors from the movie Apocolypto. Don't they loook tough?

Just a picture of one of the 756 pina colada's we drank all week long! You just can't resist when they take such amazing care of you!

My hottie on the beach:)

A beautiful flower. The colors there are so lucious and bright.

Drawing in the sand. Something everyone has to do when your on the beach right?

Swimming. Swim time was FUN!!

the next 4 picture are of us parasailing. That was crazy. 350 feet up in the air, nothing but the breeze on your face, and a vast view of the ocean. Incredibly relaxing and totally thrilling!

Here is a picture of Ponchito. He is a pelican that lives on the pier. The parasailng guys were snagging little sardine fish with a hook and some line, and then they were feeding him. It was cool to be right there, and Poncho was really friendly. He is catching a fish in his mouth in this picture.

By the beautiful beach...

On the roof of our lobby.

Room Service! We didn't realize it would be that much...haha!

Our first night after getting there. This is looking out from our balcony.

And another view from our balcony.

And I will stop there. I'm too lazy to upload more pictures from our snorkeling, or the ones of us with Parrots on our head. But you get more than the jist of our trip. It was fabulous. It was so good to be away, and now it's great to be back. Emersyn and Adelynn both did great, and now they are happy we're home. Emersyn took a bottle, and now that I'm back, she took me back just fine. I'm so grateful for that, because my heart was aching so bad when I had to leave her. Everything turned out just as we'd hoped. More than we hoped. It was a dream.

Love my Man!

Well, only a short time now until we fly out to CANCUN! Woohoo! I'm pretty excited, but also incredibly nervous to be away from my little ones. I can't even stomach the thought of being away from Emersyn right now, but I'm sure once I cry it out and get there I'll have a good time.
Mine and Caleb's anniversary is on the 23rd, and as we'll be in CANCUN!!!(I can't help it, you have to say it with enthusiasm) I thought I would throw out a little "Happy Anniversary Babe" to him here and now and talk a little bit about US, because I can. And also so you can all see how truly wonderful he really is, and how good the last 4 years of my life have been because he has been a part of them.
He is a great man, and my best friend in the world. When I first met him in October 2002, I knew I wanted to be his friend. He jokes that we first met in a lingerie department because we were both working at Dillards at the time, and that happens to be the area I worked in:). It was an immediate connection, and his personality is so magnetic, I had to be near him. He was so funny and intriguing, and I couldn't help but smile and laugh, and genuinely enjoy myself every time we were together. Our friendship grew stronger until we spent nearly every day and evening together. It was then, 2 weeks before I left to Ecuador for 4 months, that I realized his friendship meant something more to me. So, over the next 4 months we exchanged letters and e-mails from a distance helping our already great friendship grow even more. When I got back, I was a little weird, I'll admit it...confused about my feelings, and everything else in my life, so I moved away. Anyhow...to avoid a long story, I'll just say that it took us a few years, but on April 23rd, 2005 Caleb and I shared the best day of our lives together as we vowed to love each other for all of Eternity!
I love you so much Caleb. You are my dearest friend and confidant. You know how to push my buttons just right, and how to make me mad in as little as 2 seconds! hehe, I don't think that is humanly possible unless it is done by your spouse:) But you know what, you can boost my spirits when I'm down, make me laugh when I'm sad, feel loved when I've had a terrible day, and you sure have a knack for making me feel like I am the only person in the world that matters to you. We have 2 beautiful children, and they love you so much, and seeing you with them as a father brings me such joy. Happy Anniversary. Thanks for all of the good times, and all of the not so good as well. I wouldn't trade a minute of it because it has brought me here today with you.

Since it is our 4th anniversary, here are 4 fun facts that I love and admire about Caleb:
1. Caleb is an incredibly hard worker. The amount of time and effort that he puts forth into his job astounds me. And by so doing, he provides for his family, which means the world to us!
2. Caleb loves movies, and can quote anything and everything. You can also fire off a quote at him, and he will be able to tell you the movie, the actor, the scene, you name it! It is funny.
3. He is VERY intelligent. Having conversations with Caleb never leaves you feeling intellectually unstimulated. He has a true yearning for knowledge and already has a vast comprehension of so much more than my little brain can fathom. Not to mention his imagination. That little head of his...what else is it going to come up with?
4. Caleb is funny. His sarcasm is witty and clever and his humor is beyond comical. More often than not when you are in the vicinity of Caleb, you will find yourself laughing. Can't wait to have some time with ya, Love you babe!

Another LARGE update...

Man, does life EVER slow down? I feel so crazy and hectic lately. I don't even have time to sit down and read a book, and that drives me CRAZY! Anyway, it's great, but needless to say I haven't had 2 seconds to blog. So, this one will be a doozie, but I'll try and just keep it short worded so you can see the cute pictures instead of listening to me ramble.
Here are some pictures of Adi's hair. I don't know if I've ever blogged about it, but she got her Mommy's curly hair, and as it grows, it's getting pretty cute. When it's not done, Caleb thinks she looks pretty homely with it being really wild, but when it's tamed, it's precious. We both think she's always adorable no matter what though.

We had a family movie night one night where we put out the mattresses in front of the TV and watched movies with the kids and ate caramel popcorn. It's fun. I got the idea from my friend Collette who is a super cool mom and awesome enough to do it. We tried it and LOVED it, and have done it several times now. I think my hubby likes it even more than the kids! Here is a pic of Adi and I before the fun begins. I think it's a cute pic because you can really see her excitement and anticipation, and how tired she already looks!
Emersyn really loves to eat her toes lately. She's growing so much!

Adi took a felt bag and decided it was a hat...:)

Another successful dress-up event. This is Adi and her cousin Taylor on another sleepover event.

Adi and her 2 friends Kayson and Logan chillin' in little sisters crib watching the mobile. Funny kids.

Emi lookin' all beautiful one Sunday after church. Love that smile!

Adi burned her arm on the Fireplace one day. It was really bad and REALLY sad. Here is a picture of it 3 days into the burn. It was starting to heal a little bit by this point. Poor girl!

Ucon has an anual Easter Egg hunt that totally rocks, and I have done it pretty much every year since I was 4, so it is super fun to keep the tradition alive with my girls. It's packed to the hilt, and slightly crazy, but I love it. I invited some in-laws to come too, and that was fun for Adi to have cousins and Grandparents there. I was totally planning on taking Emersyn in with me to let her pick up an egg, but in the end I left her with Grandma to watch, but here is a picture of her beforehand with her bunny hat on. SO CUTE!

Adi before they blew the fire-horn. Man, let's get this party started!

On the hunt...

Adi and cousin Nadia with their loot!

I LOVE my girls!

Easter Egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa Walls house on Saturday night...Ready....Set...GO!

My sis in law Beck and I at dinner...I love her!

Momma sorted lots and lots of candy into eggs this weekend!

Apparently all of the excitement hadn't caught up to my hubby yet! Love ya hun:)

I am so grateful for Easter, and the chance to reflect about our Savior's love for us, and his atoning Sacrifice. I am grateful for the knowledge of his resurection, and the assurance that I can be together with my family forever. And Sunday was a beautiful day to celebrate this. Grandma Boise (witters) got them each a church book, and they love them (Adi especially since Emi kind of just wants to eat hers.) Thanks Grandma, and we LOVED the cards! The Easter Bunny came, and he is so cool, he even brought Adi a new bike and helmet and knee pads. We are so glad for this because Adi has been wanting one really bad, and Mommy and Daddy couldn't get it just yet. Thanks Easter Bunny!

Look at me, I am even cuter on the bike when I'm wearing my new dress and shoes!

Emi thought her basket and eggs were great too.

Adelynn told daddy he could ride her bike too. (good thing it's an actually relatively sturdy frame!)

We went over to Uncle Craig's farm again on Sunday to visit them and Patrick, and while we were there we hid some eggs and had quite a few hunts. Aunt Chelsey is so cool, and she took Adi to find real eggs in the chicken coup. Adi was SO excited when she found them she banged them together with her hands saying "YAY" and then was a little grossed out by them breaking and threw two of them on the ground! I guess she didn't get the memo that they were real! hahaha

Daddy and Uncle Craig were having just as much fun with the egg hunt, if not more!

And now here's the latest...
Today Adi's 2 friends Kayson and Logan were over again, and while Logan and I were upstairs feeding the baby, Kayson and Adi (both 2 years old...keep this in mind) were downstairs playing nicely and decided to color. They are such good colorers, and I love to encourage them in it. Creativity is good for children. Do you like their art work? (P.S. it's highlighters, and apparently the pink in permanent.)Yes, that is my wall you are looking at, and the next one is yes...my tile.

As you can see they worked their way up the stairs until mommy washed Emersyn up blissfully unaware and came in to find them behind the couch finishing their masterpiece. Sadly I didn't hold up as awesomely as I wish I had. I think they knew they were in big trouble because the both went willingly to their time-outs. I cooled off for a minute and assessed the damage throughout the whole basement and up the stairs and then brought each one out one-by-one to be shown what they had done, and tell them that was a big no-no. When I talked to their mom Christi I wish I had been all cool, but it was still pretty fresh, and I am pretty emotional, so I cried. I'm retarded, I know. Luckily Christi and I know each other well, so she knows I am emotional. But the good news is I have cleaned it, and the permanent pink marker is now painted over, and my house looks lovely once again:) hehe.
Anyway, sorry for the long post. Happy Easter to you all!
