It's been a busy 2 weeks, and my internet has been down, so I haven't been able to blog about it. So sorry to those of you who have been waiting to see the whole reason it's been busy...Emersyn is here!

It was a great Labor and Delivery. Everything went very smoothly, and I feel great. Just one contraction and 3 pushes, and Emersyn Sade Wall was born. How nice! She weighed 7 lbs 5 oz. was 20 inches long, and has a beautiful head of hair! HOORAY!

Adelynn was so excited when we came home from the hospital and her baby sister was finally here. She kissed her and hugged her and pretty much attacked her. It was very sweet though. She is having a little bit of a time adjusting, but it isn't directed toward her sister at all. It's defiance directed toward her mommy, but she is very excited about "baby Emi".

Big kisses for baby sister. I think Emi has had a lot of those these last 2 weeks!

After her first sponge bath. Eyes wide open and lookin' so cute!

Grandma Witters spent the week with me taking care of any slack that I couldn't pick up. She was a huge help, and it was so fun to have her here as well! Emi looks pretty fond of her don't you think?

It's a special privelage to be allowed in the "princess chair" and Adi was quick to make sure baby Emi got to sit with her in it. How nice of her to share!

And here is Adi occupying Daddy's time by making him play dress up. He'll be great with two little girls, don't you think?

I love my two little girls!!!

Saying goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa. It was hard, but I managed to keep my tears in check until they left because I knew if I let myself go, I would never gain control, and wouldn't let my mom go!
Well, after Grandma left and I thought I was getting the hang of things, Emi's eye got infected, and then swelled up SO HUGE so we took her to the Doctor and found out both of her tear ducts are closed. An infection had backed up really bad into the left eye and when the doctor just barely touched it, puss oozed everywhere. Here is a pic of her eye when we first decided to take her to the Doc.

It was so sad. The doctor was very concerned because she is so little, and the infection can apparently get into her spinal column and cause all sorts of problems there, so she was sent straight to the hospital to get an IV for medicine.

We were there for 3 days and 2 nights, and it was pretty sad and quite stressful. And now that it is over, the stressful part isn't. One of the medicines she had to be on can cause hearing loss and kidney damage, so she has to go back in for a hearing test in the next few months I guess. So as if worrying about your newborn with paralysis isn't bad enough, they throw on ya hearing loss, and kidney damage. Gotta love doctors! Anyway, she is looking LOADS better now, and we are back home. She is on an oral antibiotic for the next 10 days, and we will monitor the closed tear ducts for the next 6 months. At least for now they don't have to be opened manually.
Well, there is a catch up of the last 2 weeks. Hopefully with our internet up and running I can keep you all better posted on my 2 little angels.

I miss you all so much! I wanna come over and kiss those cute cheeks! And listen to Adi chatter! Emi's eye was very sad, but I am so glad you are back home now. And you are looking great by the way! Love you all!
Emersyn is soooo cute! The picture of her eye is heart breaking! I'm glad she's doing better though! Adi looks like a great big sister--that's nice she isn't jealous and hostile towards the new baby! Well, I hope Emersyn continues to get better! Love you guys!
Wow you have had a busy two weeks. She is beautiful though. I am glad the delivery went well. I hope mine goes that well. It is always so sad to see babies in hopital beds. I hope it all clears up. Also it is so sweet to see dads playing dress up with their little girls.
OHHHHHH, my heart has been with your little family. They are beautiful girls and it's good to hear that everyone is home. WE have been looking so forward to these pictures!! I love it! Can't wait to see you guys!

I have been waiting for this post! I have been so excited for you! She is beautiful! The picture of her eye breaks my heart! I am glad she is doing better now. Adi is such a sweet big sister. What cute pictures! Congrats!
Your baby is beautiful. I'm glad things are going well. I'm so sorry about all the stress you've been through. It's so hard to see a brand new baby suffer.
Caleb, I love, love, love, love the purse!
Yeah!! I have been waiting to hear and see pictures-she is so beautiful and I love the pics with Adi-so sweet. I am glad everything went well for you, you look great. Poor little baby, I hope everything starts getting better and that she gets on the mend soon.
I'm glad your internet is finally working! I've been sending you LOTS of emails! I'm sure you've noticed :) I'm so glad that emi is doing better!
Congratulations on your little one. I am glad she is doing better now. She IS beautiful.
What sweet little girls you have! I'm glad Emi is doing better - it is so scary when little ones are sick! And I hope she doesn't have the hearing loss or kidney damage! Whenever I have babies, I'm always nervous they won't pass the hearing test, but so far my 5 haven't inherited my hearing loss. Yeah!
Oh my word, she makes Adi look so big! I'm glad she's doing better. That is so scary!
You're a great dad, Caleb. :) Very funny.
I've been concerned about Jackson's hearing. He just wouldn't respond to things I said. Even the doctor told us to have him checked by a specialist. Then I decided to do some tests of my own. Interesting results. If you whisper "cookie", or "outside" or other favored things (even with your back to him) HE HEARS IT JUST FINE! :)
Poor little darling! The world is supposed to be more welcoming to perfect newborns than that! So is she off the kidney damage/hearing loss medicine then? Freaky man. I'm awfully sorry you've had that on top of everything else, but at least she's still precious and adorable! I love the picture of her with Adi in Adi's princess chair.
I got to see Emi for the first time this past weekend when we went to Idaho, and it was so much fun. She's beautiful and precious.
Adi, Maylyn and Tessa had so much fun playing with you! Thanks for sharing all your toys.
I hope you keep feeling great, Ashley. You don't need to get mastitis or something on top of all the stress with Emi's health!
Caleb, I love the picture of you and Adi. You're a terrific father! Congratulations ya'll, and welcome back!
I am so glad to see the pics! Beautiful family!
I hope all will go well with her treatment!
Ashley, she is seriously beautiful! You know how to make them well! Adi looks so sweet and proud too.
I'm sooo sorry about the eye. That is horrible! We struggled with Kelsey's eye until she was almost 3. It got infected many times but never to that extreme! I'm glad she's back home & doing better.
BTW- you look great!!!!
