Seriously long day

Is it really only monday? Today I had extra kids, and it wrapped up to be quite the day. I won't go into too much detail, but let's just say it was LONG! ...ok, here is a little detail. It started out quite well. One of the little boys I was watching was being quite sweet and melancholy, and I was rather enjoying him. But when I put the little ones down for nap, he woke up and said "Ashley, me's puked." I went downstairs to see the damage, and sure enough, power explosions all over my brand new bed set. I stripped him, and stripped the bed, and shook off all the chunks. While I was starting a load of wash, I went upstairs to help in the bathtub to find him trying to go potty on the toilet! Good boy, but with diarreah...it was everywhere. I got him cleaned up and the bathroom cleaned up, and put him in the tub. I've done 5 loads of wash trying to clean all of the pillows, shams, towels, bath rug, comforter, clothes, rags, etc. After all of this was said and done, another little boy told me I looked like I was going to have another baby. :) That always helps your day! Then I was trying to do a little prep for dinner and was making some cornbread and ruined the whole batch by adding a 1/3 cup oil instead of MILK! AGH! Am I already this scatterbrained and it's only monday?! Wish me luck for the upcoming week, I will need it.

Oh my!!!! Sucks to be you at the moment. Or at least, when it was happening. I'm sure it's calmed down by now?
If it makes you feel any better, I've had a day like that but it was actually a morning about an hour before I had to leave for work. Won't go into the details but maybe I should blog about it? I never blog about when the girls get sick. Don't know why?
Anyway, good luck for a better week! ;)

Those are definitely character building days! How are you? I saw that you commented on Jesse's blog, so I jumped over to yours to see your cute kiddos. You look very happy! :) Your girl are beautiful!
I wanted to go see Shana's but, it is private, so if you get a chance, will you please ask her to invite me? My blog is garrettntoshanielsen.bolgspot.com and my email is toshanielsen@hotmail.com
Thanks! Take care!

SICK!! Puke and Diahrea are bad enough when it's coming from your own flesh and blood. But coming from someone else's kid is just too much. That's why I never tried working at a daycare! I hope the rest of the week goes better for you. Hopefully the girls didn't catch what he had.

Thanks for all your sweet comments on my blog, by the way. You always make me feel so good!

Oh, Ash, that is a lousy day! Sick kids are no fun! I hope the rest of your week goes better--do something fun or relaxing for yourself, you definitely deserve it!

Oh Ashley! That definitely makes for a rotten day. I think I would have crawled up and cried. Seriously. You're tough to even take on extras. I can't do it. Not even one extra. You could look at this way: It only can get better from here, right?

Oh, man, what a day! I really hope tomorrow and the rest of the week IS better for you.

It can only get better from here and now your bedding has that smell of the stuff stores preserve clothes in off it.

And I have a jar that my hubby gves me money to put in evertytime some one makes a "pregnant belly" remark. Someday I'll use it for a tummy tuck or therapy! Ha!

How did you get your comforter clean? Did you have to take it to dry-cleaning? What a pain. I'm horribly sorry-- I would not have enjoyed that at all!
Why did the mother send you her kid if he was sick?! :) That bugs me like nothing else.
Good luck sanitizing your house! :)

ALL OVER her crib.. the wall next to her crib.. all over her feet and hands, her sippy cup... you name it ... it was brown. am i ready for this motherhood thing.. ahhh ;)

Hey, I forgot to tell you where I got my hat. I got it at some random teeny bopper store in the mall 2 years ago. I love it & wear it so much that my hubby has threatened to burn it.
Oh & thank you for your comment. ;)
I really wrote it to be funny, I truly don't care if people comment & definitely don't want them to feel an obligation to do so.
I was just being goofy. In all honesty, I really blog as a journal & a way for my fam to keep up with us.
have to say though, if it weren't for comments, I wouldn't have gotten to know you! I think you're so cool & wish we could hang out! Bummer!

I'm so sorry for your day. Good thing we all had a little break (although it took me a while to get into things thanks to kids not cooperating with bed). We really need to have craft nights more often and maybe next time Spencer will be home so I won't have my kids either!

Good grief, that doesn't sound fun at all. How's the week end? Any better?
