I had Emersyn's 18 month check up a little early (17mo.) because I was a slacker and missed her 15 month and 12 month check up. She is growing so big, and it's pretty fun. A fun fact about Emi is that she is
very extreme. What I mean by that is; she is on one end of the spectrum for
everything. There are no in-betweens for her. She can be such an angel, and when she is, she tops them all. She is sweet, and cuddly, and loving, and completely adorable. On the opposite end, she is such a bear! She can be so mean to sister and bite and pull hair and throw ridiculous tantrums. Yet on another hand she is sweet and hugs her sister and kisses her and holds her hand wherever they walk. When she's sick, she's as feisty as they come. When she's laughing, it's loud and excited and contagious! She is advanced in her talking. She says so many words that I thought about documenting them, and I couldn't even begin to write them all. The Doctor was really impressed and couldn't stop laughing because she even talks in short sentences. We're impressed too :) It's funny though, because Emersyn loves to copy anything and everything you say. The other day I said "Dang it" and the rest of the day she ran around saying "dane it!" It was the same day that I said "oh boy!" and the rest of the day she exaggerated everything with an "oh boy!" I have to watch it now, and am on my toes a lot around her. No one seems to have sympathy for me about how much my children talk though, they all say they wonder where my kids could have inherited that from! Oh well, maybe this means we'll always have really great conversation together. Emersyn is also extreme in her stats. Her weight isn't too low(unlike her sister! she finally made the charts with a whopping 9th%!). Emi is in the 30th%. Her height on the other hand remains really high in the 96th%. Again...my extreme baby! She also seems to want to grow up to be a big girl so fast. She is now sleeping in a big girl bed completely(that was hard for me because I felt like I was letting go of my baby). She stays in it all night, and naps there too. She is pretty impressed with herself. She also has gone pee on the potty. She insists on wearing panties over her diapers every day. She tells me to change her diaper anytime she wets, and has to get a new one. If I don't react quick enough she'll even get me the wipes and a diaper sometimes. I'm pretty sure she would potty train now if I had the gumption, but I'll wait a few months to minimize on the messes! Anyway, just a fun few facts about my baby. She REALLY is a joy. Every extreme angle to her we just love.

Also, I took some pictures of my brothers dogs, and for being brand new at all of this, I didn't think they turned out too bad. I'm definitely no professional, but I want to become better, so give me some feedback on the pics and some tips too. I welcome your comments and pointers.

This is river. She is a puppy that my brother just got for hunting. She is beautiful and already fetches so well. She is only 13 weeks old, and is huge! My brother really loves her, and he liked this pic the best. I thought it was really pretty with the coloring of her, and the bright beautiful sky in the background.

This is crazy Lola and Brody. They are such cute little pups! They are busy and wild, and snort all the time. Too fun! What I like about this picture is their heads turned in opposite directions with the same expression and crazy bulging eyes.

And this dog is Acaida. She is beautiful. I was having a hard time capturing a good picture of her though. She had chewed through her kennel earlier that day, and got into trouble, so she wasn't in the most cooperative mood. She has the most stunning blue eyes, but because of the uncooperativeness(it's a word! my word!) I really didn't get a great pic, and it was slightly blurry, so I turned the tones down on this and softened the saturation to an almost complete black and white photo. Was that a good idea, or no?
Thanks all of you photography GU-Ru's you! I can't wait to learn more!

I think your pic's are looking great!
Wow! She really IS growing up fast! I love that your girls each have their own looks. That is fun!
Looks like you're having fun with your new camera! Great pics!
Fun pics! Any sites, books, etc. that you found and love? The picture of Emersyn is so sweet, but she looks so big. They grow to fast. Kenna's personality is very extreme too-lots of fun!!
I can't believe how fast Emi is growing up either! She is such a cutie & has such a cute personality too! I think your pictures look great!
It's crazy how fast kids grow up. I was thinking the same thing about my kids the other day and it really makes me want to cry sometimes. However, each stage in life is so wonderful and amazing that it's fun to see them grow too.
Oh know exactly how you feel!!!!! Geez, our girls are almost EXACTLY alike... both of them. I think they'd be be fries for sure!
She is so beautiful! What a big girl. I have yet to put Talia in a Big girl bed, although I want to because I want her potty trained first. (Which, I'm working on as we speak. Wish me luck!)
Great job, Ashley! Just keep practicing. You are doing super!
Emi is a joy and I can't wait to see her (extremes and all!) in March. I thought your pics looked really neat. But I know nothing about photography so.....
Hey Ashley, so my sister and I are coming to IF this weekend. Are you going to be around on Saturday? I really want to meet up with you.I got a new phone and lost your #? Will you email it to me so that I can call you? My email address is jennyjenfisher@yahoo.com.
Can't really give you any photography tips, love what you're doing tough. Emi and bai seem to be in the same boat stats wise. (Haven't had her 18 month yet, put previous stats are similar.) Also glad to know that bai isn't the only stinker with hitting and tantrums. Whew, i haven't completely messed her up!! Did I tell you Bai and I are coming to ID for a couple of weeks end of April?? Really want to see you!!
I think your pictures look awesome! Good job! And I can't believe how big Emi is getting - wasn't she just born yesterday?
I really hate Emi's bad days... yikes. But, I do really really love her good days!
