Little Turkey

This little turkey decided she had to sleep in bed with her Mom and Dad last night when she woke up at about 1:00am. We've never let our kids do that before, but she wasn't feeling her best, and she was so sad that she won out.
Can you tell why?
Let me just say it won't be happening again despite those big rosy pouty yummy lips. This little girl owned the bed, and now we have one really tired mommy on our hands, and one completely exhausted daddy at work. Whew! Who knew a little 2 year old could need a whole king size bed to herself?
On another note I thought I would share my word for the New Year.
PROGRESS
Hope you all had a great New Year, and are excited for everything 2011 will bring. I AM!

Seriously, those lips & eyes might work on me! So cute!

Hear ya on the bed thing! Yazee was doing that for 2 1/2 months! Thought I was going to die. She had a "phase" but never seemed to get over it. I don't do the sleeping in the bed thing but Mubeen doesn't care. So, she'd climb in & I'd pick her up & put her back in bed. Every time! Ugh. I finally locked the door. (I'd unlock it in the night but when she heard the click, she thought it was locked for good.) Don't call CPS!

Such a cute picture! Isn't it amazing how at such a young age they can learn how to persuade with one look!? Jacob does the same thing!

Very cute picture! It is amazing how they learn that so early. I also enjoyed your previous update! Looks like the girls had a great Christmas morning!

My kids still haven't out grown that phase yet. And since I seldom get sleep, I usually cave just on the pure fact that at least I don't have to move to put them back in their own beds. I still don't sleep...

Last week must of just been a rough week for little girls. Emily woke up the other night at 2:00 am and had to watch a cartoon on the DVR before she went back to bed. Just what I wanted to do at 2:00 in the morning. Your girls are so cute!

Ian had an earache the other day that woke him up in agony at 3am. We finally caved and offered to let him sleep with us, but that didn't even work. Which is just wrong. If the parents are going to give up their bed for the sake of the child, the parents should be blessed with EXTRA-restful sleep. Bum deal otherwise!

We had such a great visit with all of you this weekend. Thank you so much for bringing the car over. We are so grateful to have it. Thanks for coming to visit us, Adi and Emi. We had so much fun with you! We love you.

Oh my goodness, for a minute there I thought I was looking at Adi instead of Emi! I mean, they do have their own looks, but Emi is looking so grown up! Cute picture. And, I am with you on the bed thing. My kids are not allowed. That sure is a cute face, though . . .

My girls don't get to sleep in our bed, unless Ray is gone and I'm too lazy to put them back in their own bed. But I have one that will take over the whole bed, and one that cuddles up and is fine. So it depends on the kid how much I mind them joining me. :)
