A Post to Ashley

Ash is away in Boise this weekend for some training in Quickbooks and I miss her. I miss the two "little babes" also(Adi and Emi, I mean; not midget-baywatch chicks), but they tend to steal the show and Ash doesn't get much of the attention. So, I think she deserves a moment in the spotlight.

Hopefully she doesn't get too upset with me because, one: she is going to wonder, "Why don't you show me this kind of attention when I am home?", then two: I am planning on posting numerous pictures of her, and like many people, including myself, she may not appreciate that she didn't get a say on which ones appeared. And three: I have added a bunch of Tori Amos songs to our playlist... as well as maybe one... or two Staind songs :-). Come on! Cut me some slack! They enrich the list! :-) She may see it differently, though. I am prepared to live with the consequences. (Besides, I have been looking through the pictures and I think she looks great in them all!)

So here is my little tribute to my beautiful wife that I love and miss very much. She is classy, but not afraid to play in the park. She is intelligent, but not afraid to go cross-eyed and stick her tongue out at the camera. She knows when to be serious and when to laugh. And she is an AWESOME mother.

I find myself thinking back to when we first met... the Lingerie Department @ Dillards here in Idaho Falls (which is a story for another time), six years ago now. (I think six years... my math was never really good). Then our on-again/off-again relationship for a couple years here and in Boise...
And now here we are!

It has been fun...

...and will continue to be fun!!!

Hmm...

That wasn't enough pictures.

I need a few more.

((Halloween 2008 as vampires; my favorite. And no, I haven't read the Twilight books yet. I was a fan long before Edward and Bella. I have thought vampires were way rad ever since Brad Pitt smashed Christian Slater up against a ceiling - levitating!, mind you - with freaky eyes and teeth bared in Interview with a Vampire ... maybe even longer.))

In the words of Adi, "Love you! Miss you! Catch flip side!"

Now, Ash, if you try to do something foolish, like get even and post pictures of me, you know it will mean War! I will be pissed! Cuz I HATE pictures of me... except that one where I was in that muscular body suit. That was a good one. But NONE others. Lets just call it square and pinky-truce now.
Okay, now it is time for me to go. I just got done building Emi's new baby swing and I am anxious to try it out. If its as good as the advertising says, then I will be catching a few zzz's in no time.

Caleb, as always, you crack me up! That was a very sweet post and I thought you did a good job picking pictures! You didn't even put any embarassing ones--good husband. I hope you survive okay without your babes!

Very loving post Caleb. Now I can see why you were "busily engaged" Saturday night. Ashley IS beautiful, Adi and Emi ARE beautiful, and you are MOST handsome. I was a little surprised by the photo with you in longer hair (it is all relative, but this was long for you!). You looked nice.

Great post. You are a great dad and husband and Ashley is a great wife and mother. You two are a good couple. I remember you're on again, off again relationship and talking to you on the phone one night when you lived in Boise and saying, "Caleb, I think she likes you. I do. You should call her again." Do you remember that? I also remember the day you proposed and you asked us, your sisters, to help you out, and the proposal was such a success! I hope you can survive while she is gone. When will you and your family be reunited?
