Facebookers?

To facebook, or not to facebook, that's my question.

So I have several friends that have been 'nicely encouraging me' for a long time now to join the facebooking community. It seems that everyone but me has an account these days! What are your opinions? Do you facebook? Why? Should I join? Do you waste all of your time on it, or is it convenient? Do you prefer blogger, twitter, facebook, or some other site out there that's made for technologically advanced people, and not me?
Can't wait to hear your thoughts!

It doesn't have to be time consuming or a waste of time. You can use it for convenient purposes and to stay connected. I strongly suggest you avoid all the games, quized, etc. Way too many people get viruses from them.

I stay connected to aunts, uncles, cousins, roommates, old friends, and more. I can send them a message without having an email. It's totally different than blogging (which I think is much more personal). It can be what you want it to be.

ps. I thought "Awwe, what a cute pic of Ash & Caleb there." Then I realized I took it:) It made me smile. And then I laughed aloud because it brought back a really funny memory. Like I was invading some romantic moment or something. Haha!!!!

I'm mixed on it. Honestly, I think it's pretty silly. On the other hand, it comes in handy when you're trying to get in touch with someone, and I really like all the birthday wishes I get! I have almost canceled my account several times, but it's kinda nice to hop on once in a while and check it out. I could see it as an addicting hobby, though. I'm trying to stay away from that!

If you do it, don't forget to add me as a friend! Haha! (:

As soon as I started a FB account people stopped looking at my blog. They just get updates on me through FB which kind of made me sad but whatever. I have heard several things about FB not reallybeing private like they say it is so I have just been careful about personal info just like I do on my blog. I almost canceled it but I just LOVE the fact that I am in constant contact with my cousins that I probably only talked to once a year and my friends that I never get to see anymore. FB helps me feel connected with my family and I like that. It's funny because I have actually searched for you on FB a couple times. Haha.

I thought I was the only person without a facebook!!! I am glad somebody else doesn't have one either! I have heard it can be pretty cool but I swear my husband gets all sorts of emails from facebook all the time and I find that annoying. Stay strong! Blogging is better, right?

I like facebook to stay in touch with people, but I don't ever do any of the games or other applications. Mainly because it shares all of your personal information when you do and also because I don't get into stuff like that and I don't want to waste my time. So, I say get a facebook account to stay in touch with peoples' lives, but don't do any of the other applications.

You n me both, Sista! Seriously, how I feel about F.B. would take way too long but just know that I am in constant battle with myself over starting one all the time!

I totally agree 100% w/ Christina. I think the games & quizes are lame. (but that's just me) I do love fb though, we are planning our class reunion and it helps to have all the old classmates on it! Plus alot of the girls in my ward are on it, and I can use it to remind them about Relief Soc. activities etc. The lady that VT me, never calls to set up an appt, she face books me! So it is pretty handy!

I like Facebook for being able to keep in touch with people. The games and apps are kind of lame. But it sure is convenient being able to contact people so easily! It's pretty handy.

Ha ha, we've talked about this, I have it, I like it, it is a waste of time, and my life goes on when I don't catch up on it.

I'm not on fb, either. I've gone back and forth on it. I've seen enough of it to think it's not at all user friendly, it takes a lot of time to figure out how to do things. Also, while I can see it would be nice to connect with people, most of the people I want to be connected with I already keep up with somehow. I've concluded it wouldn't really improve things for me.

Basically, don't feel like you have to just because everyone else is doing it. :)
