Life as of lately

I haven't blogged in forever. I guess that's what happens when you get pregnant, feel sick, and then move. We've been busy though, and it's been FUN! We are loving Boise and all it has to offer. For the last few weeks we've been back and forth on houses, but we finally decided to rent for the next little bit while we search for a home. Our rental is a townhouse that's brand new, 3 beds, 2 1/2 baths, and 2 car garage. It's a good location, and it will work just perfectly for us for the next bit. It's always hard to go back to renting after living in a home for the last 4 years, but we're not too bothered.
I recently had my first Dr. Appointment (finally!) and was really pleased with my doc. She's actually a Certified Nurse Midwife (which was recommended by my friend crystal who recently had a baby) and I think she's perfect. So much more personal and friendly than my last OB. She did an ultra sound that day and we were excited to see little baby in there moving around. It is a miracle to me that at 11 weeks along we were able to distinguish the head, nose, hands, and feet, etc. Such a beautiful, perfect miracle. The girls are so thrilled and look at the picture of their baby everyday. Emi tells everyone I have a baby in my pants. :) I'm not sure where that one came from, but it's cute.
Caleb is doing great in his job. He is a wonderful hard worker, and does great at anything he puts his mind to, but the best part of this move is...He is happier than I have seen him in a long time. It's really nice having a little more flexibility too, and he's enjoyed that time to have some special dates with his girls.

Here he is with Adi before their date. They had a great time. They went to pizza, and the toy store, and her "ticket store" and a movie. It couldn't have been a more perfect date for her.

And here he is with little Emersyn before their date. They went to dinner and the toy store. They rode on a crousel and played at the park. She hasn't stopped talking about it since and every night her dad comes home she begs to go on a date!

I got my own special date too, but I didn't take any pictures...oops!

Emi had her 2nd birthday. My baby is now 2! She's obsessed with mickey and minney mouse, so we decorated for that.

Her and her cousins made mickey mouse candy necklaces.

She loved her presents.

That's her happy face:)

She really liked her Minnie plates.

But mostly she loved her presents!

Adi was very patient and sweet, but as soon as Emi was ready to share, Adi was eager to play!

I slacked off this year because of being so sick, I didn't make her cake. BUT, I did the next best thing and ordered it from pastry perfection!

She was pleased as could be, and it was a really fun party.

That Daddy Date is SUCH a good idea! What a guy to actually do it. Lucky lucky girls.

I'm excited you are going with a nurse midwife. That's what I did on two of my babies, and it was so much nicer. They actually participate in the birth (if you want them to), instead of showing up for the catching and stitching. So much more personal.

I'm glad you are happy in Boise! I'm jealous that you'll have weeks more of nicer weather, and access to lots of good fruit, too!

Looks like lots of fun! Ahhh a date night, what are those again! So cute that Caleb took all his girls! I say he's got it good with all the fun everytime! I can't believe Emi is 2 that is just crazy, she is as adorable as ever. It's going to be so AWESOME seeing you all! Oh and renting can be great... something goes out, you call the landlord and nothing out of your pocket! Great perk! That's great you guys have found a place!!

That was a great party! So fun to have you close and get to do things instead of just read about them!

Your girls are soo cute. You know they are just about the right ages to marry my boys some day. Just think what crazy children they would have. Love the daddy-daughter dates too.

Nice to have you back!
I'm glad all is good in your new digs!
How sweet is that that they have date night with Daddy. Gives me an idea. Usually, they do it together but maybe he should take one on one...
I can't wait to hear what you are having! I'm so excited for you guys!
Lastly, Emi's party looked so fun! She's getting so big & both of your girls are so beautiful!

Caleb looks so great in those pictures. Such a handsome brother have I :). Also, I loved both of my midwifes so much more than my OB. I will never go back to an OB. Glad you finally decided to try the midwife. Good luck!

She is two? Seriously? Oh my goodness. What a doll. And that cake is darling! The best looking cake we've ever had for a birthday is the one I ordered from the bakery. ;) I hope the morning sickness goes away before too long for you! I'm excited for you guys to be expecting your third!
